Restaurants near Alyeska Hideaway

Had a nice dinner. The pros - consistently delicious appetizers and ramen at very decent prices with good quality ingredients. Our server was outstanding - friendly and attentive, but not overly pushy. Order came out very timely this time which we appreciated. The cons - check in upstairs is a circus (unorganized and chaotic). This is the 2nd time we've arrived to stand in line outside and then stand in line inside only to have people walk in later, totally cut the line by walking right to the hostess stand and be seated before other groups that were waiting (our group and the other group both had reservations). So either the hostess is in on it or is totally unobservant/doesn't care. May seem minor, but its totally rude and last time a guy started yelling so that made for an awkward start to what we were hoping was going to be a nice dinner.

The food is exquisitely prepared with quality ingredients. It is my second visit there while in Anchorage and I wouldn’t visit here without a stop for dinner at the Crows Nest for an amazing meal, experience and view. Don’t forget to get dessert, the pastry chef is creative with flavors that really complement one another.

Food was amazing as usual. Sourdough bread and whipped butter were nice starters. Husband ordered the Halibut Cheeks and I ordered the Prime Rib and added Mushrooms to my plate. Everything tasted and was cooked perfectly. Kenny - our server - was very attentive and knowledgeable. Will return.

If you want consistently great food with warm and inviting ambience, this is the place for you! The blue cheese custard appetizer, it sets the scene for anything that comes next. 

If you don’t mind the loud atmospere full of tvs and games, it is worth a visit for the delicious food.
