Restaurants near Americas Best Value Inn Port Lavaca

My husband and I celebrated Valentines Day at Gabriela's, for the first time and we are happy we did. We made a reservation and were seated right away. The restaurant was decorated beautifully. The hostess and waitress were very kind with smiling faces. The food was fantastic, we ordered the tuna tostada, crab crostini, spicy shrimp, Blackjack Point grilled oysters, and the chef steak. It was all absolutely amazing. The portions were perfect for sharing and trying different dishes. We will definitely continue enjoying Gabriela's in the future.

We enjoyed the fixed Valentine’s Day menu: wedge salad, smashed oysters on a bed of shoestring fries, filet mignon with mashed potatoes and veggies, and caramel apple bread pudding for dessert. We both had red wine with our meal and the espresso martini with dessert. We sat in the bar side and it was busy but we had great service. Cool retro atmosphere, slightly noisy. Food was amazing, we shared each plate as a couple- our only wish was that maybe they could have split each course for us. (We had to agree on how to have our steak cooked.) Overall a great meal and we will be back to try their full menu!

We sat in one of the booths by the bar and it was so quaint for a date night. Our food was amazing, especially the fried oysters! Service was quick and all the staff was extremely friendly.
