Love has designed a menu influenced by all of the ingredients and cultures that have been a part of the West since the first adventure began on the Goodnight-Loving and Chisholm Trails — with an added level of modern sophistication. Love’s food at Lonesome Dove reflects his famously unique “Urban Western” cuisine, celebrating his creative uses of bold flavors and wild game, with an inventive selection of steaks and seafood to dishes such as Wagyu Tomahawk, Kangaroo Carpaccio, Rocky Mountain Elk Ribeye, Wild Boar Ribs, and Rabbit & Rattlesnake Sausage. Took my wife here for her Birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire meal, from the guacamole appetizer to our entrees. I had the chicken parmigiana with pasta. They made it not-spicy for me even though the menu said different. My wife had the planked salmon and enjoyed it. We finished off with both available desserts, key lime pie and chocolate silk pie. Both were yummy. We'll be back!

As always the food was delicious and we also took home some pastries. The service was attentive but our server wasn’t comfortable opening our wine bottle. She sent another gal who broke the cork and then a 3rd server came with a new bottle and he was successful! This last server did check on us after our food came out and we had a laugh or 2 at his mispronunciation of Ricotta. Italians know how their food is pronounced so that won’t fly and we like to drink wine. PS Chef Joey’s Pinot was heavenly.

Everything was perfect from the moment we walked through the door. We had a party of eight and were celebrating a birthday. Every single dish was perfection and everyone was happy with what they’re ordered. The parmesan chicken was two huge pieces of chicken - very easily shared. Also the server was amazing. You will not be disappointed if you dine at Firebirds Grill!!!
