Lovely, relaxed atmosphere, with great food, cocktails and service. One of the best places we’ve been to in York over 5 visits here! Fantastic place to enjoy a celebratory meal. Highly recommend!

We were treated to afternoon tea. A gift voucher from our son and new daughter in law. Not that we had paid I thought the price of the afternoon tea for what we got was rather expensive. Not a price I would have paid. The tea was quite nice, my wife had a pot of tea and I ordered coffee. On the menu it stated a pot of coffee. All I got was a cup of coffee. The staff were very friendly, but didn’t come to ask if everything was ok. It was a nice experience but having had afternoon tea in other places it was expensive compared to other venues.

Delicious food, excellent service and a great buzzy atmosphere. Restaurants are struggling in the current economic climate, but this one was packed with happy customers. The fixed price menu is amazing and fantastic value for money. Definitely the recipe for today. Well done Burro!

Fish and Chips for the smaller appetite was huge and tasted great. Hot Turkey sandwich was also great tasting and more than enough, with same to be said for lamb shank.

Lovely friendly staff service was excellent manager was extremely obliging food was great recommend a visit if you haven’t tried it yet
