Welcome to Sugar Boat - a relaxed & informal neighbourhood bistro in the heart of the town on Colquhoun Square, a stones throw from the sea front. We are open daily from 7.30am (8.30am on Saturday & 9am on Sunday's) through until late.     Best Italian food for a long time. Mushroom starter was divine. Beautiful sauce full of flavour. Generous helpings also with Bruscetta. Then the most delicious Penne with Italian sausage. Again the most amazing sauce. Finished off with a very generous helping of Tiramisu. I'm usually disappointed by this as the restaurant versions are often dry and not a patch of Asda's. However this was way better and the liquer oozed out of it. Can't recommend highly enough. Will be back for sure.

    As ever the Cullen Skink was very tasty. The toast was a little on the overdone side though. The haggis starter size was just right and also very tasty. Service was very prompt.

    From the moment we arrived, we were made very welcome. The service was exceptionally friendly. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant but then moved outside for drinks because the weather was so good and the views from the beer garden are spectacular! We’ll be back soon!
