- FfionaLondon •11 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoLovely restaurant, very busy and although I had booked a table for 2 months in advance for my husband’s birthday when we arrived the only table available was in a ‘corridor’. It was next to the waiters station and the kitchen. However, when we asked to be moved they were very understanding and accommodating and moved us with only a short delay. Services and food was lovely, great choice on the menu too.More infoRiva Blu Italian Restaurant & Bar - BirminghamPrice: Expensive• Italian• Birmingham•4.2

It was our marriage Anniversary and they even celebrated that at last, which was a very nice gesture! - DDerekCornwall •2 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 20, 2024A Culinary Masterpiece at Opheem Dining at Opheem was an unforgettable experience that left us in awe of both the artistry and passion behind its exceptional cuisine. Opting for the 5-course tasting menu during our visit on Wednesday evening, we were treated to a journey of flavours that were as refined as they were inventive. Each dish was a testament to the creative genius of Chef Aktar Islam and his team, blending traditional Indian influences with modern techniques in ways that delighted the senses. From the very first bite, it was clear that each plate had been crafted with meticulous attention to detail. The balance of flavours, the textures, and the presentation were flawless—elevating every course into a work of art. It was impossible to pick a favourite dish as every course brought something unique to the table, showcasing a remarkable depth of culinary skill. The service was equally impeccable. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, their knowledge of the dishes and wine pairings enhancing the entire experience. Every interaction felt warm and genuine, creating an atmosphere of relaxed elegance that perfectly complemented the meal. The highlight of the evening, however, was our post-dinner conversation with Chef Aktar Islam. His dedication to his craft and his customers was evident in every word, and it was truly inspiring to hear firsthand about his culinary philosophy. It is rare to encounter a chef so committed to pushing boundaries while maintaining such a profound respect for the origins of his cuisine. Opheem is not just a restaurant; it is an experience—one that transcends dining and enters the realm of art. We left feeling not only satisfied but deeply inspired. This is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates extraordinary food and exceptional hospitality. We cannot recommend it highly enough and look forward to returning to see what new creations await us.More infoOpheemPrice: Very Expensive• Indian• Birmingham•4.9
