Market Place Kitchen and Bar is a traditional American restaurant, operating with a theme of preparing all cuisines with organic and sustainable ingredients. The restaurant has a decent wooden décor, constructed with 300-years old barn wood from Brook Field's farm.     This was our first experience with the new ownership group, and, as they say in baseball, they've lost a few miles off their fastballs. The menu is the same, but the food isn't quite as good. We live 40 minutes away and have always looked forward to making the trek to Brewster because we knew that this was one of the finest restaurants in the Lower Hudson Valley, but if our latest experience is representative, The Arch has dropped a notch. For example, the sauce for the Beef Wellington was overly salty, the orange sauce for the excellent duck was a tad too sweet, and the chocolate soufflés hardly tasted of chocolate. Service was impeccable, as always, and the staff are very friendly. The place looks beautiful.

    Overly generous portions, extensive menu and extremely fairly priced. Service is top notch, wait staff is accomodating and patient. Place is immaculate, you can eat off the floors. Food was incredibly tasteful, absolute perfection from top to bottom. Would HIGHLY recommend!!!
