The Red Maple was originally owned and operated by the Trauth Family, a German-American family of restaurateurs spanning 100 years in Gretna. And what began in 1963 continues to this day, holding to its German roots through its rustic Alpine lodge decor, extensive beer selection and annual Oktoberfest celebration. Come dine in this beautifully restored Uptown restaurant on Magazine Street and enjoy James Beard Award Winning Chef Justin Devillier's contemporary Louisiana Cuisine.The La Petite Grocery name pays homage to the history of its home, a building that’s stood for more than a century. The original structure was built in the late 1800s and called the Central Tea, Coffee and Butter Depot. In 1908, a fire devastated the space and it was transformed into a full service grocery store. Later it was most notably a fine foods and butcher shop, VonderHaar’s Fine Foods until 1982. When La Petite Grocery opened in March of 2004, they similarly aspired to provide the neighborhood with exotic teas, locally roasted coffee, and fresh produce. By doing this, we hope to provide a dining experience that evokes nostalgia of old New Orleans. Reservations are preferred.

    Everything was great. We had the grilled Oysters and the shrimp appetizer for starters. Then we had ribeye steaks and a seafood platter. All were perfectly seasoned and cooked to correct temperatures. Service was exceptional and we couldn't ask for better food. Highly recommend!

    I came to New Orleans for a quick two-day trip to attend a wedding at The Omni, and I’m so glad I made time for brunch at Brennan’s! My best friend was with me, and we celebrated her birthday with a fabulous meal at this iconic spot. From start to finish, our experience was exceptional. The service was flawless—attentive, friendly, and professional. Our server made sure we were well taken care of, and the food? Absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. A special highlight was when Jason, the manager, took us on a short tour of the restaurant. The ambiance is nothing short of breathtaking. I can’t even begin to describe how stunning the space is, with its elegant décor and warm, welcoming atmosphere. It's truly a feast for the eyes as much as it is for the stomach. As a Las Vegas native, I’ve dined at some great places, but Brennan’s stands out. I can’t wait to come back to New Orleans and visit again. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a top-notch culinary experience. 10/10—absolutely loved it!
