    Every single waiter and waitress that assisted us was great and so polite!! The food came out in a very timely manner and was delicious. The ambiance in the restaurant was wonderful. The acoustics were perfect. The spacing of the tables was so comfortable. You did not feel like you were having dinner with the table next to you.     We love Charley G's! Food is always consistently excellent. Husband and I had crab cakes and a cup of turtle soup. He also had the house salad which he said was the best salad he's ever had at a restaurant. We also shared the Cajun smashed potatoes which were delicious. One son had a house salad and a bowl of gumbo. He said the gumbo was delicious but there wasn't enough of it. The other son had the fish special -- sheepshead filet with a crawfish creme sauce with lump crab and 3 fried oysters on top of mashed potatoes. He said it was "out of this world." Charley G's is a great "special occasion" restaurant and the perfect place to take out-of-town guests.
