It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. Our service is warm and attentive. We have developed a reputation for consistency an attention to detail. These qualities are key to our catering business as well. We have been eating at Linwoods for many years. We have always loved the food and atmosphere there. The service is always great, The waiters always treat you special. We haven't been to Linwoods in awhile, simply because we live a good distance from the restaurant. We were not disappointed and can't wait to go back.

Food was great, service good, lighting was not the great in some spots of the restaurant. Sitting by the windows at night time they had all the lights off inside so it was harder to see the menu and your food. Other than the lighting/ambience leaving something to be desired, the place is great and food is some of the best in the area!
