- RRobertvipNorthern Ireland •6 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoQuite simply, this is one of the best restaurants in the world. The food is incredible. Every course was absolutely delicious, the ambience of the dining room is unfussy and welcoming. The staff are all friendly and efficient. And Brett Graham, the chef, takes his time to come to every table, explaining the dishes and chatting to his customers all through the night. Incredible. Up there with Core and The Fat Duck as my favourite restaurants in London, and one of the best dining experiences of my life. Stunning. I’m already planning a return.More infoThe Ivy Cambridge BrasseriePrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Cambridge•4.4

- RRudiCambridge/Cambridgeshire •1 review5.0Dined on Oct 30, 2024What a delightful culinary discovery in Cambridge! While the restaurant's setting is pleasant enough, it's the extraordinary food that truly steals the show here. The kitchen's expertise is nothing short of exceptional. Each dish emerged as a masterpiece of flavour and presentation, demonstrating remarkable attention to detail and creative flair. The chef's commitment to excellence was evident in every carefully crafted course, making this establishment a genuine haven for food enthusiasts. The service was impeccable – attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable without being pompous, and delivered with the sort of quiet confidence that comes from true professionals. The staff struck that perfect balance between formal and friendly that makes dining out such a pleasure. Yes, the prices reflect the premium experience on offer, but given the outstanding quality of the cuisine, one can hardly quibble about the cost. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for – and here, you're paying for culinary excellence. For those seeking truly exceptional food in Cambridge, The Waterwheel is, quite simply, a must-visit establishment. While the ambiance might not bowl you over, the masterful cooking certainly will. Book well in advance – this level of culinary expertise won't remain a secret for long.More infoWaterwheel at Cambridge Quy Mill Hotel & SpaPrice: Expensive• Fusion / Eclectic• Cambridge•4.3
