We are a family owned business located in the centre of York by the River Ouse. Our bar and bistro has gained a reputation for a wide range of beers and spirits coupled with an excellent selection of wines and champagnes. Close to The Grand Opera House and city centre, Plonkers is an ideal place to meet with friends or colleagues for a relaxed drink.Weekends at Plonkers can have a party atmosphere where you can relax after work with friends. Upstairs seats approximately 26 but we can cater for buffets for around 40 people with some standing. Restaurant was great! We were there to celebrate a birthday as a couple and we both really enjoyed the food. The meat was amazing and a great range of sides to choose from- we both left very satisfied and very full. The staff were attentive and we didn’t have to wait long at all in such a busy restaurant. Would definitely revisit.

One of the best bars we went to during our trip to York. We had pizzas and they were delicious. They have 2-4-1 cocktails that are yummy and lots of beer selections. The atmosphere was great and the staff were amazing, it was very busy when we went but that didn’t seem to phase the staff. We will be visiting again!
