Originally born in the Canary Island of Lanzarote (where the family originally came from) their daughter and both sons decided to join their family venture and follow in the footsteps of their parents and grandparents. Based in Greetham, The Wheatsheaf is 6 miles from Oakham and 4 miles from Rutland Water. Carol and Scott took over the Wheatsheaf in March 2008. The seasonal Modern British menu changes weekly. The wine list is based on wines from around the world with a good selection by the glass. We also have an excellent selection of beers and local cask ales.In 2021 The Wheatsheaf was a new entry in The Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastro Pubs and was also awarded The Michelin Red Plate.     Arranged a post Xmas dinner for my wife , daughter and son in law, food was as expected as we have dined here before but first time for our daughter, they loved it as well, slight hiccup with one of the main meals as 3 came but not the fourth, they gave my wife a free Prosecco and hers did turn up within a few minutes, they were very apologetic. Can highly recommend the blade of beef

    Great food and fabulous service for my husbands birthday meal We ordered 12 tapas for 5 of us and we had ample to eat with a tiny bit left over Such a varied choice and excellent quality food We recently did a tapas and wine tour of Malaga and the quality was similar here in Loncoln Totally recommend

    Delicious treat which has become a Christmas tradition for us! I enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea with a glass of Prosecco and my husband chose the savoury afternoon tea with a beer. Unfortunately they had run out of ale though, so he had to be content with a Peroni. He suggested that a small sweet treat would have been nice to finish off his selection but on this occasion he stole one of mine! Thank you and happy Christmas to all.?

    It was our first time at Pho last night. We came for our son's 16th birthday. The staff were brilliant and attentive. Service was quick and friendly. Thank you so much for making his night a great one! We'll be back 😁
