The food is exceptional. There’s something for everyone even if fish isn’t your favorite dish. There’s something filet mignon is better than that found in steakhouses. The chicken parm is phenomenal. There’s a delicious burger on the menu. The “worst” thing about Max Fish is trying to make a decision because everything is made to perfection! I’m never disappointed and I’ll say it’s the best restaurant in the Max Group!

We were seated right next to the kitchens door where it tended to be noisy with a lot of traffic. Try to avoid that area. Otherwise our waitress, Mary was great and food is always good which is why we always come back to the Mill on the River.

As always, we were treated like family and with a delicious meal. Your sea bass is better than any I’ve had and the steaks, lobster tails and sides were perfectly prepared. We also had wonderful, professional service from our friend Kevin and appreciate the desserts. Thank you and with all our best, Anne and Brian Gouin

Before coming here I heard they had great steaks/food. I also read it was ranked as a top steakhouse in CT. Expectations were met. I would highly recommend. The steaks were perfectly cooked. Our waitress was also great. She explained the menu, all the way down to the different butters, kept our drinks full, and even though we didn’t order desert brought a nice treat with a birthday candle. It was very nice and great customer service.

Max is marvelous!! The service is superb, The ambience is amazing! The food is fabulous! The wine is wonderful! It is the perfect place to dine for any occasion or without an occasion! Go and celebrate the every day life! You will be very glad you did!
