Celebrated our anniversary here. They made it e tremely special. It was a slow paced meal, which we very much appreciated. I had the stone fruit salad, which was delicious, followed by the diver scallops. Again delicious. My husband had the heirloom tomato salad, which he very much enjoyed and also the diver scallops. The whole experience was wonderful. It was a Monday night and the restaurant wasn’t more than half full. Very quiet. Sarah, our waitress , was the most enjoyable person. We had a fabulous night.

We had a delightful experience at The Braised Onion. The most wonderful things were the genial and knowledgeable service from Joanne and the second was the quality of the food. We had both the Poached Pear Salad (the pear the perfect sweetness to compliment the vinaigrette) and the half-Caesar wedge which was also crisp and well presented. The classic liver and onions with bacon was very American and well cooked. They generously allowed a substitution for the mashed potatoes with asparagus. This Louisiana native really enjoyed their version of shrimp and grits. Shrimp were perfectly cooked; the sauce had the perfect seasoning with generous portions of andouille sausage. our pre dinner cocktails were well executed; the rolls (with their garlic and parsley topping and the whipped butter) were spot-on. A wonderful evening in Ocala.

The special menu item to celebrate the release of the Beaujolais Nouveau was a wonderful rendition of a classic French dish. The other regular menu items served at our table were also delicious The service was impeccable Miranda Madison's repertoire for the evening was perfect for the occasion - and beautifully sung. Overall a Very Fine outing indeed

We went for our Anniversary. The whole experience was excellent. All of the staff was very accommodating and very pleasant. Great time.

The filet mignon was absolutely cooked to perfection as it always is. We missed our former waiter, Jay, but had a nice young lady wait on us. Only thing that wasn't perfect was the asparagus was a little tough, but in the past it has been wonderful. Probably just a seasonal thing. We will be going back again next month with a large party!
