Restaurants near Dennis' Horseradish

We frequent the Keg in Brantford often, primarily because we always know we are going to be happy with the experience. This past Saturday night was no exception to that rule. I ordered the Kansas city bone in sirloin feature. When it came out it was a little on the rare side of medium rare, however I was ok with eating the steak on the rarer side even tho it was not what I had ordered. When our server Ellie came out to check on us she noticed it was a little undercooked and asked if I wanted to send it back to be cooked a little more. I said no, I don’t want to be a trouble. I can eat it as it is . Ellie said “ you don’t come to the keg to get a steak that is not cooked to how you want it” so I agreed to sending it back to be cooked a little more. It only took a couple minutes and my steak returned to the table cooked to perfection and freshly plated with the hot side vegetables. We were also treated to complimentary desert for the inconvenience. Thanks Ellie for going the extra mile to make our experience great 🙂 Ed and Sandy Dawson

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely dinner tonight. We were seated by the window with a view of the river. Our Server Michelle was very personable and attentive. We both thoroughly and I mean thoroughly enjoyed a 7oz Tenderloin served with potato pave, roasted onion, spinach purée and bordelaise. OMGoodness was it good! Kudos to the Chef! We had tea and shared a Chocolate Ganache, totally decadent but the portion was very tiny and we could have each had one wink wink. There was 1 downfall with zero fault of the restaurant, the table beside is was uber loud and the perfume worn by one of the women was totally nauseating and affected my allergies. Fortunately, they were seated a few minutes before we left.

We loved the decor changes that have been done since our last time at Devlin’s. Serving staff were superb and attentive. The addition of a sommelier to staff is a nice touch and we had a fabulous bottle of wine.

The food was delicious, the servers were upbeat and friendly, the place was nice and clean. Had absolutely no complaints.
