It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. Our service is warm and attentive. We have developed a reputation for consistency an attention to detail. These qualities are key to our catering business as well. WE ARE FAMOUS FOR OUR WET AND DRY-AGED STEAKS THAT ARE HAND-CUT BY OUR IN HOUSE PROFESSIONAL BUTCHERS.Our steaks are wet aged on average 45 to 70 days, cut and then dry-aged for another 5 to 7 days. This extensive aging process is what separates us from our competition. We have been described as serving a “Ruth’s Chris” steak at an “Outback” price. In addition to our signature steaks, we serve baby back ribs, fresh salads, chicken, seafood, fajitas, and we even have two pasta dishes. Prices range on entrees from $9.99 to $29.00 for our 22 oz.
