Restaurants near Double Bayou Park

Sabrina was wonderful! She greeted our table using the reservation name which was a really nice touch. She was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The hostess team was also wonderful - welcoming us right away and thanking us for coming in as we were departing. The restaurant itself is so pretty. I find the size to be really charming and intimate. It’s a bright and airy space and the noise level is lively but it is very easy to hear everyone around the table. We also loved the food and drinks for brunch. It was a perfect experience!

We usually go to the same restaurant when we are in Galveston. This time we decided to venture out because it’s Galveston Food week. We looked at various restaurants menus and decided to come here. We were not disappointed. Everything was excellent, there was so much food to enjoy. We had appetizers, I had the steak and my husband had the pasta. By time the desserts arrived we were stuffed.

Food was incredible, everything was amazing. Crispy Shrimp deviled eggs were soooo good. Steaks were perfect - tender, flavorful, cooked to perfection. Only thing that wasnt 5 star - service was good - but no exceptional. Waiter spoke so fast it was difficult to understand him. Lacked that personal touch...

Gaido’s has always been one of our favorite restaurants in Galveston. The food is always delicious. Great place for any celebration.

The food was fantastic—really fresh and an overall great experience. However, I wish they hadn’t begun cleaning and closing the restaurant two hours before closing time. It made us feel rushed during our meal, especially when they started sweeping under our tables. Despite this minor inconvenience, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be returning.
