Restaurants near Fay Street Historic District

First time visitors. There wasn’t anything they could’ve have been better. Service staff was friendly, helpful and attentive, they were not pushy or rushing us. Value was great- average prices for similar restaurant. Food was OUTSTANDING! A rundown: Bread, served with oil - delicious Clam chowder- not too thick broth, diced clams, chunky potatoes, peppery- suburb, above average chowder. Haddock Della Note- great portion size. Served with roast potatoes and veggies- delicious. Cooked to perfection. Salmon Balsamico- large portion size - tomato balsamic salsa atop grilled to perfection salmon. Served with roasted potato and veggies. Dessert- chocolate peanut butter cake. The perfect blend of moist cake and creamy peanut butter. Would give 10 stars! Will be back!

The service and food were both great! My husband and I had a date night and the atmosphere was fun and energetic, especially by the bar, but low key enough to be relaxing and romantic.

Truly a five star dining experience… Chashu it’s on all fronts with an awesome vibe, plentiful and attentive staff, and killer food. I’ve been a dozen times and had a great experience, but this most recent time we had a tokurri of their “Demon Slayer” sake, and they brought over the assortment of traditional ochoko cups to pick from. We ordered one of my favorites, the chicken karaage for the table. It’s a small plate so if you’ve got hungry folks, I recommend getting two (good for 2 people to share). For dinner, I got the maze brothless Ramen, it was very tasty possibly a bit too garlic, but overall very good. My GF always gets the moyashi, I’d highly recommend this as I think it’s probably the best Ramen on the menu in a traditional sense. We skipped dessert this time, but we did get drinks … I got the paper crane and it was fantastic… great unique whiskey cocktail, not too sweet and very tasty and not overwhelmingly alcohol(y) for the uninitiated. I will make a note and say that I have had their dessert before, and it is high-quality in presentation and flavor and typically big enough to share for two. Overall, it’s a great night out with friends with tables that could be pushed together to seat 12, of have a cozy time with 2. Highly recommended!

Best steak I ever had. I would have given service a 5 but someone called out that night which slowed things down. I'd still have given it a 5 but our poor server was so busy she forgot to bring us the check and we had to flag her down. Not her fault though. Fantastic food here!!!

So sad this restaurant is closing, but glad my son and I were able to dine there last night. Everything was perfect. The ambience, the food…amazing all around. The fresh homemade pasta for my manicotti was the best I’ve ever had…velvety and light and delicious.
