Beech is an all-seasons remake of an iconic Jamestown gathering place. Conceived by a group of Jamestown locals who wanted to give their community a restaurant that feels like home. Kevin and his team are serving up inspired creations across 5 dining areas that run the gamut from a lively bar scene to intimate, twinkle-light dining. Requests for seating, be it outdoor seating in season or room requests during the colder months is a request only and not guaranteed.     We had the table for two right by the other restaurant. It was private and perfect. Tried the eggplant bruschetta for the first time—it was worth it! We celebrated a birthday which I pre-mentioned in the reservation and the staff came out with my preselected choice of dessert topped with lighted candle, free of charge! That was very nice. Love this restaurant. It never disappoints.

    We came in from Barrington to try out the restaurant, described to us as the "food of a really nice restaurant with the feel of a casual spot" and that's a perfect description. The food was creative and delicious! I had the salmon with Brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the flavors were rich, but light. The salted caramel creme brûlée was also killer! My wife had a lamb burger -- not something she typically orders, but she said it was amazing. She shared a brownie something dessert with one of our friends and it gave that rave reviews, too. Definitely worth the drive!

    We met up with a childhood friend of mine and his girlfriend for a wonderful lunch on a snowy Saturday afternoon. The host greeted us with enthusiasm, and our waiter was a pro. We never felt rushed… there’s a lot to catch up on after 50 years! The food was absolutely delicious, and our table was in a wonderful spot overlooking the bay and the gentle snowfall. It’s hard to imagine a better Saturday afternoon in Newport. We even celebrated our waiter’s recent US Citizenship after living here for 20 years. It was awesome!
