Restaurants near Forstenrieder Allee Underground Station

My family of 3 shared Christmas lunch at Brenner this year while visiting Munich. It was easily one of the best meals we’ve ever had, and certainly at Christmas. We were seated by the pasta kitchen, so got to watch many of the dishes being made before we ordered. Every dish we had was lovely: beef with potatoes and béarnaise, tagliatelle with beef ragout, grilled prawns, crème brûlée, apple crumble and home made bread. The service was excellent, the restaurant beautiful. We really enjoyed this lovely surprise. Thanks to the restaurant staff for working through Christmas. They made the occasion very special for us.

Food was delicious but service was slow. We were immediately given a 2h limit but waited 45 mins for mains. It wasn’t a relaxed dining experience but food was great

I booked the restaurant for a team dinner for 9 people. The host was exceptionally accommodating. They gave us one of the large tables outside in the garden behind the restaurant (it was a nice, warm evening). The atmosphere was nice and chill; not too many people there, but enough to have a warm, lively buzz. The food was simple but delicious and fun to cook on the in-table BBQ. The meat platter for 4 was enough for 4 people. Enough such that you felt full and satisfied but not overly full. They did free replenishment of sides, e.g. various vegetables, noodles, rice, sushi which was a very nice touch. Service was very efficient and attentive; just the right balance. I'd highly recommend eating here. Inside the restaurant looks nice, but outside in the garden with a group of friends or colleagues on a warm day is hard to beat. It's about 7 mins walk from a U-Bahn station which itself is 15 mins from Munich Hbf. Price was competitive. With drinks, about €65 pp.
