In 1959, Frank and Tina D'Ambrosio decided to start a new restaurant venture along with their "Paisans" Mario and Enza Volpe, after Frank had much success with his first restaurant, the original "Frankie, Johnnie, and Luigi Too! In Mountain View, CA. Named after a good friend of theirs, they opened the original "Giorgio's" in the Foxworthy Shopping Center in San Jose, CA. One year later, cousins Anthony and Louise Dambruoso, affectionately known to the family as "Sash and Lou", took control of the restaurant and ran it for the next eight years. Pictures and paintings of these folks still grace the walls of the establishment today. In 1968, Frank's four sons assumed control of the restaurant and still own and operate it to this day. In 1997 they opened a second location in Milpitas, CA, where they still offer the highest standard of quality food, service, and value to their customers. Bon Appetit!!

Really enjoyed our dinner at Ladera Grill last night. Kyle was our waiter, and he did an outstanding job. After taking our orders, he took the time to recite them back to us to make sure he got everything the way we wanted. This is seldomly done, and I really appreciated this attention to detail. He made sure drinks were refreshed, cleared plates promptly, and made sure he was doing his part to make our dinner at Ladera enjoyable. This was the best service we've received at Ladera Grill in recent memory. The kitchen was "on fire" as well, as everything was very well prepared and delicious. Perfect score for food, service and ambiance for our dinner last night!

We eat here several times a year for many years. They have the most professional wait staff of any restaurant we have ever been to. They also will "split plates" at no extra charge which works out to half price meals. As seniors we don't overeat any more so his works out perfect for us.
