- BBeebeeVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •15 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe were not welcomed very nicely initially by hostess who said we had no reservation despite the fact that we had multiple email confirmations. When she did find our reservation there was no apology for the rude treatment- like we were infiltrators. Not a good start after over an hour drive. It was a noted birthday celebration and our assigned table had the chairs angled partially in the middle of a main isle. They did offer to have us wait 1/2 hour and ultimately give us a very nice booth and a glass of champagne while we waited. All food was outstanding with the exception of the lobster which was served in an underdone for me translucent state in the middle. It was replaced but still not cooked quite all the way through. They did take off the lobster up charge and brought a beautiful cake over for my husbands birthday. Service in the dining room was phenomenal and all the flavors were absolutely delicious.More infoThe Village PubPrice: Expensive• American• Woodside•4.9

- LLindaSan Francisco Bay Area •5 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoOur waiter Max was terrific. My eggs royale were excellent. My guest had the beet salad and the roasted Brussels sprouts. I sampled a few of them, and we both agreed the sprouts were nice and crispy and cooked just long enough to be tender and neither too hard nor mushy. This is my second visit to Portola Bistro. My guest is from San Francisco so it was her first visit. Our only complaint is the NOISE! It’s almost impossible to carry on a conversation when the dining room is filled.More infoPortola BistroPrice: Moderate• European• Portola Valley•4.2

- LLawrence E.San Francisco Bay Area •6 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 9, 2024This our favorite restaurant and is the place where family happenings occur; Christmas eve, Graduations, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Sunday evening dinners after a rough week of work, out of town visitors. It's a beautiful setting and the ambience is welcoming. Hope and her family make it feel like coming home to family. ps. They make a wicked Manhattan and the Mac&Cheese is always a side that should be ordered ( and the calamari ! Actually, never had a bad dinner ever.More infoParkside GrillePrice: Expensive• Californian• Portola Valley•4.8
