- DdorothyVIPLos Angeles •20 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoThe Tam is a classic, well loved restaurant. We’ve been coming here for years enjoying the festive holiday atmosphere and old world charm. Today’s holiday lunch was a disappointment, unfortunately. The service was good, our server was cheerful, friendly and attentive. No issues there. The food however, was not good. The Christmas Turkey was dry and not tender, and the portion was surprisingly small. Three thinly sliced less than two inches wide portions that wouldn’t even fit a sandwich. The stuffing was extremely salty and just not good. It was bad. The vegetables on the side were over cooked and looked like they were thrown on the plate instead of carefully prepared on the plate. I was surprised at the low quality of the food and presentation. My lunch partner was pleased with his meal, the brisket plate, which saved our lunch from being a complete disappointment.More infoTam O'ShanterPrice: Moderate• American• Los Feliz•4.6

- MMichaelLas Vegas •6 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoEveryone in our world has been telling us that we have to try Dunsmoor; it's the best restaraunt in Los Angeles. That's verbatim what everyone has told us. So, naturally, going into this experience, my wife and I had high hopes and usually, those hopes are generally squashed quickly. Not so with Dunsmoor. It was an incredible experience and it lived up to the proverbial hype. I found the restaurant to be inviting, charming and perfectly lit. I found the service to be superb. My wife and I were met with wonderful hospitality. The food was exceptional and even more impressive is the thought that all of the prep work for dinner is done so without the use of any electric. Elbow grease only. I don't care how you look at it, that's impressive. You should absolutely attempt to make a trip to Dunsmoor if you have the opportunity to do so. It is unequivocally worth it.More infoDunsmoorPrice: Very Expensive• American• Eagle Rock•4.8

While there are some similarities, I loved the uniques food -- the Saffron Muscles, Humus choices and kabob's are a must-- the less noisy and smaller sized restaurant was appreciated. The menu offered wonderful choices. The vibe was casual and it felt like a neighborhood place rather than a must be seen restaurant. Highly recommend going to Saffy's.More infoSaffy'sPrice: Expensive• Middle Eastern• East Hollywood•4.8
