- PPrienkaToronto / Ontario •7 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoDear Joey’s Team, I’ve always loved dining at Joey’s. Your food is consistently delicious, and I often recommend your restaurant to friends. However, during my recent visit, I noticed a few changes and experiences that I wanted to share. Firstly, I was disappointed to see that the guacamole appetizer has been removed from the menu and replaced with ricotta. While the ricotta is good, I truly miss the guacamole—it was one of my favorite starters, and many of my friends feel the same. I hope you consider bringing it back in the future! Additionally, the service experience this time didn’t quite meet your usual high standards. For instance, we were served our appetizer but didn’t receive side plates to eat with, which made it a bit inconvenient. Also, I had requested a booth during booking, but we were seated at a high table instead, even though there were several empty booths that remained unoccupied throughout our visit. I’m sharing this feedback because I truly enjoy dining at Joey’s and want to see it continue to be the excellent experience I’ve come to expect. Thank you for taking the time to listen, and I hope to see some improvements on my next visit.More infoJOEY Eaton CentrePrice: Expensive• American• Harbourfront•4.4
- DDonVIPToronto / Ontario •22 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoHaving walked past the unassuming entrance on Carlton Street just east of Yonge it suggested coffee/pastry shop more than an actual restaurant. We read a good review and tried it. What a pleasant surprise. Inside was an expansive restaurant, with great table spacing, moderate noise level and attentive service. We started with the mushroom spring rolls and shishito peppers both excellent. For mains we had pad Thai with chicken, different presentation than normal but excellent. We chose a Californian Cabernet Sauvignon that was full bodied and excellent value. Great experience, we will definitely be back!More infoLe LertPrice: Moderate• Thai• Harbourfront•4.6

- AauditaVIPToronto / Ontario •11 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 30, 2024Dopamina delivers an extraordinary dining experience in Toronto! The Menu Dégustation we enjoyed on Sunday, December 29th, 2024, was nothing short of phenomenal, with each course showcasing impeccable technique and creativity. The evening began with Oyster, Caviar, and Cream, a luxurious opener that set the tone for the night. The Éclair with Foie Gras and Persimmon was a delightful blend of rich and sweet flavors, while the Beef Tartare with Smoked Bone Marrow added a satisfying depth and smokiness. The seafood courses were exquisite: the Hiramasa Crudo with Saffron Tosazu was vibrant and fresh, and the Squid Ink Risotto with Crab and Chorizo was a standout dish with bold flavors. The Halibut with Dashi Vin Blanc and Ikura struck the perfect balance between delicate and savory. For the meat course, the Aged Duck with Beet and Pepper was perfectly cooked and full of robust flavors. The pre-desserts and desserts were equally impressive: the Yogurt with Pomelo and Cardamom was refreshing, while the Pain Perdu with Buckwheat Almond was a satisfying finale. The Petit Fours added a delightful sweet touch to conclude this culinary journey. The menu felt like a symphony of flavors, textures, and artistry. Combined with attentive service and a warm ambiance, Dopamina is undoubtedly one of Toronto’s top fine-dining destinations. Highly recommend it for any special occasion or for anyone who truly appreciates elevated gastronomy!More infoDopamina RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary European• Bay-Cloverhill•4.9
- JJoyToronto / Ontario •6 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 28, 2024We were there for an early post-theatre dinner so were seated promptly and greeted by our server. Our server was very attentive and topped out our water frequently. My husband and I had the linguine with tiger shrimp and piri-piri chicken respectively and both were good, but we expected more at that price point. I also had the Lisbon old fashioned which was just okay. Overall the service was great, food was good.More infoAdega RestaurantePrice: Expensive• Seafood• Yonge and Dundas Square•4.9
