Restaurants near Hannibal Square Heritage Center

My absolute favorite restaurant. We drive from Tampa to go to Ava. Service and Food are outstanding. My husband and I love this place. You will not be disappointed. Dress code? YES! Thank you for that Ava. If you insist on going out in public in your pajamas and crocs, skip Ava! Put yourself together, snappy casual with the coolest of vibes and plan on having an exceptional dining experience. ♥️

After enjoying lunch a week or two ago, we returned for dinner. Cocktails (Old Fashioned and a Manhattan)and food (fried green tomatoes, steak frites, and bone-in short rib) were excellent. Servings were substantial, and we took dessert and entree leftovers home. Michael provided excellent service - attentive but not hovering, friendly, and great feedback to help us decide.

Our server Cade was very helpful with the menu and very attentive. The food was perfectly prepared, as usual, as this was a business meeting so there were few interruptions. I will return soon with my Wife.

We haven’t been in a few years so we decided to stop in tonight. The food was amazing. The staff were amazing. They were friendly and helpful. The drinks were amazing. The atmosphere was nice. It was an overall good time. I remembered why we love Pepe’s Winter Park so much.

We went to this brunch spot with about 10 people for a birthday party. I am inexperienced with how large parties work and they said we couldn’t be served until everyone got there. Additionally, there was one large check. I have learned that those are normal occurrences for large parties but it still felt odd. I am not sure if they were used to having large parties because a lot of the drinks were hot instead of cold, orders were slightly messed up and the atmosphere seemed to have a lot of tension. Overall, it was cute but the food was also expensive for what it was. I am not sure I will go back if I have a larger party. I will probably go back for their pastries with a small group.
