We had a combo for 2 and brought half of it home! There are heaters on the patio and a small blanket on each chair. I left my coat on - it’s 40’ in February after all. I was comfortable. Book early for an indoor table if you’re sensitive to cold. The wait staff does not intrude upon your conversation. After our food was served, they let us be until it looked as though we were done. I appreciate that. Eataly is a unique experience. The grocery store with a great selection of products from Italy, the gelato and pastry selection on the first floor, and then there’s a floor with wine in the middle.More infoTerra - Eataly Silicon ValleyPrice: Expensive• Italian• Santa Clara•4.2
- JjohnsonSan Francisco Bay Area •12 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoI recently had the pleasure of dining at Meso Modern Mediterranean on Santana Row in San Jose with friends who gathered from Kentucky, Livermore, San Francisco, and San Jose for a late lunch. Our experience was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly accommodating and attentive. They made sure we had everything we needed, which really enhanced our dining experience. We started with some drinks, including their not-so-prickly margaritas, which were refreshing and perfectly balanced. The food was a highlight of our meal. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including: - Octopus was tender and flavorful, it was a great start to our meal, it was so good, we ordered another. - Meatballs packed with flavor. - Kebab: Juicy and well-seasoned, they were a crowd favorite. - Eggplant: A delightful dish that complemented our meal perfectly. - Fresh and vibrant salad added a nice crunch to our spread. - melt off the bone lamb shank was delicious - i garfed down the fileted branzino which was cooked to perfection.. - Pistachio ice cream was a sweet ending that was creamy and rich with the latte. - Cigar Baklava was a unique twist on a classic dessert that we all shared. The service was bar none--super attentive without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. We also appreciated the free parking for two hours, which made our visit even more convenient. We used our inkind too, which was a nice bonus. Overall, Meso Modern Mediterranean is a fantastic spot for a gathering with friends or a special occasion. The combination of great food, attentive service, and a lovely atmosphere makes it a must-visit in San Jose!More infoMeso Modern MediterraneanPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• San Jose•4.3
- KKlareSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe celebrated my teen's milestone birthday on a rainy Tuesday evening thinking that surely it would be a quiet dinner. It turned out to be a busy night with multiple company gatherings with a table for 16 or more. However, we got there early enough to be seated, our orders taken quickly, and served without any hitches. The service was fantastic even though the staff had a full guest list. The steaks were served perfectly as we had requested. The sides were piping hop and yummy. Our drinks were always full. The last course of cake and ice cream, Mastro's signature dessert was incredibly delicious. The staff and chefs did an amazing job, especially with a full house. They were all very impressive and well coordinated in their level of service. My teen was overall content with his entire meal and experience. Although the noise level was higher than I expected from fine dining. It was tempered by an entertaining performer with a beautiful voice. Her voice was on the level of the next "American Idol". I have to say her performance was quite unexpected for live music. Our party of three had a great time as a family celebrating the one day when we are 16 only one year. A very happy birthday indeed!More infoMastro’s Steakhouse - Santa ClaraPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Santa Clara•4.6
