Terroni Adelaide, formerly the York County Courthouse, is a multi-level heritage structure built in 1852. Just inside the doors is the Enoteca with its towering columns, a great spot for cocktails. Beyond is the main dining room, with a sunlit atrium, fireplaces on each end and private rooms all serviced by an open kitchen where our chefs prepare traditional Italian fare. In summer, the secret garden patio opens for al fresco dining in the heart of the city.Head down to the Cantina Wine Cellar where you will see the original courthouse cells now used to store our Italian wine.     We have been to Joey’s many times in Vancouver and other Joey locations in Toronto but Joey King West is definitely a step up. Fabulous ambiance and decor and they offer unique items not available on the regular Joey menu. Great service, very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive but not rushed. The spicy crab dip was a nice sharable appetizer. My only criticism was the wine. I selected a BOTTLE of Italian super Tuscan from the wine list. When it came out in a carafe I asked the server if I could see the bottle. She told me that it was “on tap”. Really?????? Have never experienced this before anywhere. And not surprisingly, it was sub par.

    Our experience was amazing from the time we walked in to the time we left. They really do value the customer, I asked one gentleman where the washroom was and he escorted me all the way there. Our waitress, did not catch her name unfortunately, was outstanding! She introduced us to a new wine, and was very knowledgeable about the wine! They even offered my partner and I a complimentary dessert for our anniversary! Will definitely be returning!
