Blades Bistro is an intimate setting in a rural location. It boasts one of the most experienced and accomplished chefs in this area. The steak au poivre rivals similar dishes I have eaten at the best restaurants in France, New York, and California. The pasta dishes are delicious. Salads are uniformly wonderful. My daughter got the Bistro Salad and asked as a dressing for the same sauce that was being served on salmon filet. My daughter is brilliant, and the chef is a master of sauces. Blades offers a selection of cocktails made with spirits brewed in New Mexico. The wine list at Blades in modest but everything is good. We like the minerally vouvray. Blades offers a very nice cabernet sauvignon by the glass. I could ask for a richer selection of pinot noirs, but whatever. Blades was out of the Grüne Veltliner, one of my favorite whites, but it will be back soon. The; entree prices are moderate -- maybe on the high side of moderate, but not expensive. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. Altogether, a supper at Blades Bistro is a wonderful way to end your day.

The wine and dine meal is a very good deal and the food was excellent!

We arrived a few minutes late. We were met by a young lady who was training and she could not have been more helpful. We were seated at a table over looking the mountains. So beautiful. The restaurant is beautiful, servers are wonderful. I have had 3 great meals there and today was no exception. Great options on the menu. Beverages are great especially the sparkling wine. Better than Champagne. We will definitely be going back! Thank you for such a nice place to have a romantic dinner or lunch with friends. Susan Berlint

The variety of options for Sat/Sunday brunch are quite nice! Very tasty, nice presentation and great service. We sat on the patio n for a bit and then inside. Great views outside and nice ambience inside. I was last here 15 years ago and the property is well maintained and a beautiful blend of New Mexican with some modern touches. Great blend of traditional and new. We will return sooner than 15 years!

We went for a Christmas dinner on Christmas Day & the food was AHmazing! The ambiance was nice & we also had excellent service. The chef made an amazing menu for dinner. Just excellent & a lovely meal.
