Restaurants near Isles of Shoals

Food and drinks were very good, but our server did not seem to like having us. Everyone else who came to our table was very friendly and warm but our server appeared to be annoyed the entire time to have our table.

The food was good, service also good. Eric was our server and did a good job with his colleagues to take good care of our needs. Much appreciated, thanks! Gets a bit loud in there but no complaints. Definitely will be back!!

We consider Puddledock one of Portsmouth’s top-tier restaurants and that it doesn’t often get the credit it deserves. The menu is both inventive and accessible, the ambience perhaps the best in the city.

We have been for Easter brunch and drinks, but, wanted to go back to try a steak dinner. The space is nice and the staff are pleasant, but, our steaks had sat for quite some time before coming to us. Long enough that my butter didn’t melt on the steak and my mushrooms had started to dry up. We will go again in hopes that this was an off night. If the food had been hot I’m sure it would have been entirely different.
