An exceptionally stylish supper club, civilized speakeasy, a sophisticated saloon. Each of these "personae" is housed in a soaring two-story interior distinguished by a gently curving mahogany bar, fluted columns with ornate capitals, stunning original art, plush banquettes, cozy booths, starched linens, glittering glasses, and polished flatware. Overall, the ambiance is pure 1930's and 1940's - tasteful art moderne reminiscent of the glory days of Cunard and French Line ships. Fashionable and glamorous are the hallmarks. Trendy is simply not a part of the BIX culture. The clientele at BIX ranges from San Francisco movers-and-shakers to "savvy travelers" - owner Doug Biederbeck's term for the many diners in the know from out of town who patronize his establishment. All of them step from the featureless alley into another world - a world of superb cookery and libations, of sparkling service, of stylish nostalgia, of polished live jazz. That world is BIX.

Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. Its fertile soil and Mediterranean climate translated into an abundance of fresh produce as well as treasured seafood and game. Legend tells that Kokkari is the site where Orion, a mighty hunter and a young man of gigantic stature and great beauty, fell in love with the daughter of the king of Chios.     The food was wholesome and delicious. Perfectly seasoned.all four of us had the prix fixe menu!$45 per person. We were full but we still ordered their featured appetizers which were wild mushroom risotto and clam tagliatelle. We went on a weekday and so parking was easy! Our reservations were for 7 pm. Thank you to the wonderful and attentive staff!🥰👍

    Amazing experience at Wayfare! Customer service was excellent before we ever even arrived. We needed to move our reservation back and they were so polite and helpful. Our wait staff was excellent, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We ordered the fried chicken, rigatoni and tavern burger and every dish was absolutely perfect. 10 out of 10 from us, so much so we bought a gift certificate on the spot to give to friends to make sure they go too!

    First time. Great experience, excellent customer service from the moment we walked in. Food was excellent. Ambience was very nice, lighting was soft, beautiful interior, and the music in the background was very nice. Overall noise level a bit loud, but still, what a great setting for a couples/date night setting. Not inexpensive if that's a factor. We will definitely be going back!

    Roka Akor is the perfect spot for a girls night! The food was delicious and we loved the ambiance. Highlights were spicy salmon tartare crispy rice, wagyu tartare, miso black cod, bone marrow with sirloin. The chocolate lava cake is a must!
