"Hands down the best food you'll find on San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf" proclaimed Sunset Magazine. An extensive renovation has revitalized the Franciscan Crab Restaurant, a Fisherman's Wharf institution since 1957. White tiled walls, beautiful marble bar and twenty foot windows overlook the bay and Alcatraz. Terraced dining affords views from every table: hand blown glass shades and chandeliers dazzle, black and white photos of celebrity patrons adorn the stairs and walls.

Abacá is an airy, atelier-style restaurant with a cool outdoor terrace, whipping up Filipino-Californian cuisine with flair in Fisherman's Wharf. It's the bricks-and-mortar spin off of chef Francis Ang's pop-up Pinoy Heritage. The lively menu is split up into barbecue sticks, noodles and rice, and small to big plates, but its far more nuanced than just that. Flavourful dishes pull from family recipes and are glazed with modern and heritage technique to result in a vibrancy that's hard to come by. It's grounded by local produce. Smoked Bay scallops lead in the seafood pancit, heirloom tomatoes top homemade tinapay bread, chicken skin is glazed in an adobe before hitting the grill and guinea fowl comes slathered with peanut sauce. A truncated list of creative Southeast Asian libations bring it full circle – if you're on the terrace, cool off with the Baguio breeze slushy – a dreamy mix of pandan-infused vodka, coconut and strawberry.

62 years of loyal customers can't be wrong. We are grateful to all of our customers, employees, and critics (...though we may not always agree!). The only way to find out the truth is with a visit. Oft imitated, never duplicated. Thank you in advance.

Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. Its fertile soil and Mediterranean climate translated into an abundance of fresh produce as well as treasured seafood and game. Legend tells that Kokkari is the site where Orion, a mighty hunter and a young man of gigantic stature and great beauty, fell in love with the daughter of the king of Chios. For the love of her, Orion forged the island for wild game and seafood to prepare elaborate banquets in celebration of their love. Today, we hope you will enjoy your own celebration as you dine at Kokkari Estiatorio on food “fit for the Gods” prepared with an Aegean palate and the style of innovative California fare.

As always, Scoma's is a thoroughly professional and delightful restaurant. The "seasoned" waiters are always thoughtful and helpful. The cocktails (like my excellent Manhattan) are skillfully made. The fish is always super fresh. And the restaurant's cioppino is the best in San Francisco, I think.Yes, it's more expensive than it was before the pandemic. But the quality of the dockside restaurant is worth it.

Abacá provided me and my partner a lovely and unique experience for our 5th year anniversary! We arrived earlier than our reservation, and we requested to sit towards the back, closer to the door pass leading to the kitchen, and a full view of the bar. A lot of items caught our eyes looking at the menu, but we decided to go for the Salo Salo "leave it to the chef" menu option, which you also participate, and have your choice of the dishes provided in a 3 course meal. Our notable favorites had to be the Yellowtail Amberjack Sarciado, Kaldereta Dumplings (added on), Black Angus Hangar Steak, and the Isaw (secret menu). The Magtagal cocktail that my partner got had a nice sweet flavor that they really enjoyed as well. Finishing off, we left very satisfied and well taken care of by our community.

The staff was very attentive and appreciative. They came up to us after our meal and thanked us and shook my hand as well as all four of my boys. The food was delicious ( lasagna, pumpkin ravioli, pasta with 2x meat balls, 2x NY )and we had a very memorable family dinner. Thank you, Fior D’Italia for making this a special evening!
