- GGaryGreater Boston •36 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoCapriccio’s in Providence, Rhode Island, continues to impress with its consistently outstanding dining experience. During my recent visit, I was captivated by the incredible food, which artfully blends authentic Italian flavors with innovative twists. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made us feel welcomed and valued. The ambience of the restaurant adds to its charm, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhances every meal. Having dined here on numerous occasions, I can confidently say that Capriccio’s has never let me down, making it a go-to spot for anyone seeking a memorable culinary experience.More infoCapriccioPrice: Expensive• Italian• Providence•4.7
- RRichardVIPGreater Boston •35 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThe service was absolutely amazing as always. My wife had rotissarie which was delicious and always is. I tried the seafood special, this is where this disappointment came. The baked stuff shrimp were good, but there was no drawn butter and when requested was unable to get any??? The risotto had absolutely no taste to it at all, very bland and very underwhelming. Lastly, it was to be topped with a U4 scallop, the scallop was definitely not a U4 but it was cooked perfectly. The drinks were very good, always consistent at Parkside. This is the first time I have ever had a disappointing meal in all the years we have been going there. Lastly, the table was way to small to enjoy even an appetizer but that’s the parkside in a Friday night. The amazing service, made this visits shortcomings one that I will surely let slide.More infoParkside Rotisserie & BarPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Providence•4.7
- PPeterGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined on Jan 3, 2025It started with our server, Alexei, who was fabulous. Courteous, prompt, friendly, efficient and extremely knowledgeable, he is a server who reads his clients, and he offered excellent advice when asked. The food came in generous portions. They start you off with a bread plate with olives and a buttery, garlic puree. Then we had Croquetas de Salmon, Crispy Otra Calamar and Beet Enselada. We topped it off by splitting a Paella de Marisco, which we couldn't finish because we were so full. The desserts looked delicious, but we were full. Alexi was attentive to the end and was patient and cheerful with our questions and conversation. We will go back again!More infoOtra RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Spanish• Providence•4.7
- RRyanGreater Boston •3 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 27, 2024A Good Spot for Drinks and Apps, but Double-Check Your Bill We visited this spot for the first time for a Friday date night, arriving around 6:30 pm. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, which was nice for an early evening out. We decided to take advantage of their "Appy Hour" menu (weekdays 5-7 pm), offering half-priced appetizers. We ordered oysters, the flatbread with prosciutto, and four drinks. The food and drinks were excellent, especially the oysters and flatbread. However, we were charged full price for the appetizers, and unfortunately, we didn’t realize it until after we left. A small oversight on our part, but it’s worth mentioning—be sure to double-check your bill. The only other hiccup was the temperature; it was a bit chilly inside until about 7 pm. That said, it’s a cool spot with a nice vibe, and the quality of the food and drinks made up for the small inconveniences.More infoNeedle & ThreadPrice: Moderate• Cocktail Bar• Providence•4.7
- MMichaelGreater Boston •6 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024Christmas Eve dinner. Festive, lively atmosphere without being too loud for easy conversation. Service was excellent, beginning with the accommodation of a late addition guest. Staff was there for every need and question yet never made us feel rushed—even though our meal went past closing. I expected great food and was not disappointed. Oysters were particularly good and French-pressed coffee always adds a great finishing touch. My teenagers had a great time and have a new appreciation for real food. Highly recommend.More infoHemenway'sPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Providence•4.9
