A Family Tradition For Over 90 YearsMrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes. Every complete chicken dinner includes handmade biscuits, side salad, choice of cabbage or cherry rhubarb, three pieces of fried chicken, and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. For dessert: your choice of boysenberry pie or boysenberry sherbet. Many other dishes are also available including grilled chicken, salads, and a number of appetizers. A full-service bar, serving signature boysenberry-infused cocktails, is also available.Currently, we are following all government-issued regulations and seating is currently outside only.     Delicious food and great service. We made a reservation and arrived on time and were seated right away. Our waiter was friendly, but not overbearing. They were more than accommodating with all of our menu requests, lol. Food was fresh and delicious and we had a lovely meal.

    Something for everyone - chicken, turkey, salmon, Mexican dishes, etc. and seemingly every possible side dish. Not fancy, but it doesn't need to be, just comfortable. The staff kept the chafing dishes full and immediately cleaned up any food dropped by customers. Nice environment. Every staff member we interacted with couldn't have been more friendly. I must have heard "Happy Thanksgiving" thirty or forty times, which we appreciated as it was very sincere. The staff did an excellent job of clearing tables and being available for anything we needed. We intend to attend next year.

    I was not aware that parking is $50 dollars. If you spend $35 on the restaurant you get $15 back. That makes that parking $35. To eat. Why? Food was good. The restaurant itself is super cute.
