- JJimVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •7 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoMy husband and I are Florio regulars for several reasons: * The service — including Jamie the bartender, Josh and Peter the servers, and David the host — are always on their ‘A’ game. We feel well taken care of when we dine here. My husband has trouble walking due to Parkinson’s, and the staff here is always ready to help us get to our table. * The food — never had a mediocre or bad dish here. The parpadelle, lasagna (not currently on the menu), hanger steak, roasted crispy chicken and cacio e Pepe are particular favorites. The desserts are excellent as well, including the olive oil cake and caramel gelato. * The drinks — though I’m not a regular martini drinker, I love the Florio martini. It’s delicious. Florio offers a well-curated wine list, too. * The ambience — sophisticated and casual. Lighting is at just the right level. Not too low so you can’t read the menu, not too bright where you feel like you’re at a chain restaurant. For total transparency, we have no business or family ties to Florio. We’re not friends with anyone who works here or anyone who owns or manages the restaurant. In other words: We have nothing to gain from posting a glowing review. I just like to recognize good people doing a great job.More infoFlorioPrice: Moderate• French• Pacific Heights•4.8
- RRyanVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •22 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe have been meaning to come here for awhile, so had the opportunity right before the holidays and enjoyed an amazing meal. We did the tasting menu for 2 of us (friend's dinner) and was not disappointed. Almost everything that came out was delightful with a couple of personal preferences that we didn't care for as much but still tasty. The desserts were amazing. The chocolate pavlova and the kiwi jelly is something that i'll remember and go back for again if they still have it.More infoOctaviaPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Pacific Heights•4.7

Service great until it got super busy then lagged a bit. Not a big deal. We sat at the high top in the window next to the door. Cold tonight. We would have been better off, making a reservation in further in advance and getting a table in the dining room proper.More infoThe Tailor's SonPrice: Expensive• Italian• Pacific Heights•4.7
- JJohnSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 12, 2024We returned to HED11 for the new menu, and we agreed that it’s one of the best they’ve ever created. I’m not very familiar with Thai Northeastern cuisine, except for papaya salad, but everything was incredible. The table-side preparation for the papaya salad was really creative, and the final dessert was stunning and creative as they crafted a dessert that looked exactly like the artwork, which made the night even more fun and exciting. Last menu they served 6 main dishes at once, which felt a bit overwhelming but this time they separated the main courses into three smaller courses served with rice, which felt much more balanced. I highly recommend trying this new menu, it’s outstanding! Thank you for making our birthday celebration extra special with the thoughtful giftsMore infoHed 11Price: Very Expensive• Thai• Western Addition•4.4
- NNaomiVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •30 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 10, 2024I was excited to check out this new place in Japantown and it did not disappoint. We had duck tacos and pork belly Benedict & they were delicious! Duck tacos were my favorite - savory and complex. The menu is mostly Asian fusion and the kimchi is house made (obvs in the name) and sooo good. Who knew kimchi & hollandaise combine to delicious effect. Cocktails were great too. Best of all was the server. So kind, friendly, and super fast. Also, we went for brunch and there was an entire baby group in there and it was not even loud. So everyone go check out the Fermentation Lab!!More infoFermentation Lab JapantownPrice: Moderate• Fusion / Eclectic• Western Addition•4.3
