The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize. Had date night here with my boyfriend and we loved it. I’ve been here before but he hadn’t and he was VERY impressed. We opted for seafood options (lobster pappardelle and salmon) instead of steaks and even these dishes were phenomenal! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Chianti Grill continues to provide a consistent fine dining experience when many other restaurants have gone down hill. Our server was delightful. Setting was lovely. My only complaint was the food wasn’t as hot as it should have been. It was still good.

Amazing bloody mary and mimosa bar, almost a meal in themselves! We were celebrating a birthday, which got us a free photo booth token and dessert to share. I didn't realize how big this place is! We were seated in the quieter dining side, but the live music playing in the other area wasn't too loud. Looks like a nice happy hour, too, so we'll have to return soon for that!
