The history of Milwaukee dates to the early 17th and 18th centuries when traders first began to travel through and eventually settle in what is now Milwaukee. Early on the area was full of coopers, butchers, shoemakers, and farmers. Milwaukee’s beer history started in the 1840’s, driven by the presence of the frontier settlement near the Great Lakes.     We decided to start a new tradition over thanksgiving and went in search of a restaurants that might be open on thanksgiving day. To our great delight found out that Capital Grille was open. The ambience was GREAT, cozy feels with great food aromas and plenty of space for all. The hostess team were all lovely and our waitress Larissa was on point with everything . I cant compliment the food enough, although our lobster bisque was more on the creamy side, it still tasted amazing. Highly recommend any day, but especially for a day like Thanksgiving No cooking needed No clean up needed after The perfect night

    Booked the Thanksgiving Day family meal for $55/person. The food and service were so good. Sincerely, so much food to eat…and they would bring you more of anything you wanted more of. Emily was so sweet and efficient and handled all my Dad’s jokes like a champion. The place was decorated for the holidays, our table was cozy and we felt like we could take our time. Wonderful experience overall-thank you to the team for making it feel special.

    We went there to celebrate a birthday and we were not disappointed. From the service to the relish tray to the main dishes, everything exceeded expectations. Our waitress was quite pleasant and did her bed to enhance our evening. In spite of taking home leftovers, we made sure we had enough room for desserts which were incredible. Can’t wait to go back.
