Café Napoli is a family owned restaurant, established in 1989 by Tony and Kathy Pietoso. Quickly becoming a success, they moved the small basement restaurant to a larger location at the corner of Forsyth and Bemiston in the heart of Clayton. In 2003, sons Ande and Kye expanded their family restaurant by adding Bar Napoli, a swank cocktail lounge. A few years later, Napoli Reserve was added onto Bar Napoli allowing for private event space and an additional bar and lounge for the weekends. After years of a flourishing business, Kathy and Tony decided to take their ventures West to Town and Country where they opened their second location, Napoli2, managed by Ande. Kye has taken the reigns from his father and is now the front man for the 8,000 square foot establishment in Clayton. Café Napoli and Bar Napoli have recently undergone a face lift inside and out. I have been wanting to go back to Annie gunn’s for years and we finally made it and it was well worth the wait! Every meal was exceptional, our service was the best I’ve had in a long time, and the wait times for each course were perfect (we did app, entrees and dessert). I cannot wait to go back!

Food was good, only complaint was the trout entree was a little too salty and had too much oil. I got the brown butter sauce on the side and I am happy I did because there was plenty of butter/oil already on the entree plate. I loved the cauliflower puree that was with the fish.

Creative, inventive cuisine in a cool, inviting setting. Intimate and friendly spot with a great wine selection. Executive Chef Mathis changes his menu weekly while his Mom and Dad run the back of the house and manage the wine list with experienced wine veteran Chris Hoskins. The drive to Chesterfield is worth it.
