- MMelissaWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined todayI discovered Koya Houston on Instagram, and it immediately caught my eye with its upscale and fun vibe. Although I noticed the reviews weren’t as high as I typically prefer (I usually stick to places with a 4.5+ rating), I decided to take a gamble while in Houston for Thanksgiving—and I’m so glad I did! The restaurant is absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere was great, though it wasn’t too crowded—likely because it was the day before Thanksgiving. We started with the wings, which were perfectly cooked and delicious. For our entrées, I had the lamb chops, and my husband ordered the sea bass. Both dishes exceeded our expectations, and the drinks were on point too. Our server, Carson, was the highlight of our visit. His service was exceptional, and he went above and beyond by offering us two complimentary shots each and even giving us a tour of the speakeasy, which was such a fun touch. We’ve been traveling through Miami, New Orleans, and now Houston, dining out each night, and while Koya was the most expensive restaurant we’ve visited this week, it was absolutely worth it. I’d recommend giving it a shot despite the mixed reviews online. We left happy, full, and truly impressed!More infoKoya - HoustonPrice: Very Expensive• Fusion / Eclectic• Midtown•3.7
- CCharlesHouston •18 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoOverall the experience was great. I was a bit disappointed that, two days prior to Thanksgiving, we were told they didn’t have the ingredients for the drink we ordered, there were no collard greens (should be a staple) and the desserts were limited. The server we had was spectacular and definitely represented your brand well. The place looked beautiful but I’d note the music was quite loud and for the price point I expected more of a jazz type feel as opposed to really loud hiphop. Overall it was a good experience and we will visit again.More infoDoves RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• American• Westside•4.3

- KKaiWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 20, 2024Our dinner at Drake’s was just what we needed for a date night and a special time together for my boyfriends birthday. I appreciate the grace as we were running late and the team was accommodating and kind, even though we were behind schedule and closing was at 10p. Thank you for the hospitality. A little bit of kindness goes very long way.More infoDrake's Hollywood - HoustonPrice: Very Expensive• American• Montrose•4.6
