Restaurants near Miner Lake State Park

The food was excellent as was the service. Our party had the filet mignon, strip steak, and mushroom risotto. The steaks were perfectly prepared as ordered and nicely seasoned. The risotto was creamy, rich and delicious as well. We enjoyed a bottle or wine from the large wine list as well as superb cocktails. The ambience was warm with a warehouse chic decorum. What made Modavie stand out over other restaurants we visited during our stay in Montreal was live music, jazz up stairs and blues down. We had a fantastic time and look forward to dining at Modavie again on our next visit.

A table for 10, yes, we made the noise. Nothing to say. Everyone was great and were careful about allergies. Food was good, hot and tasty. I have to say something though. I asked for a Cesar Salad with chicken. I expected more salad and capers and real chicken. It really looked like processed chicken fashioned as a breast. Jason D gave was patient, attentive and courteous. Explained the specials on the menu and service was super. I hope I get him next time I go visit you again.

We’ve been to the Mother’s Day or Easter brunch at the North Hero House, but we’ve never been to the Thanksgiving buffet. It did not disappoint. I was looking forward to the hand carved prime rib. I had two generous servings with the best mashed potatoes ever. My wife stayed traditional with turkey, stuffing, gravy, squash and mashed potatoes. We were both happy as can be. The only quirk was that dessert was served and not buffet style but who cares about dessert after all that food?

The tomato soup with arugula pistou was fabulous. The 9e burger with carmelized onions was very good, and perfectly cooked -- although the charred outside of the burger did not appeal. The service (Destiny) was outstanding! What a treat!

We had a truly lovely lunch at Bar George. The food and our service (from hostess to pastry chef and everything in between) was fabulous. We will absolutely be back. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
