We love dining at Mimosa. Lunch today, as always, was outstanding. We ate on the deck as the weather was perfect for alfresco and the view over the vineyards and mountains is always scenic and relaxing.The combination of flavours offered in each dish in each course is always exceptionally creative and clever. Today, we took friends who are new guests. They were amazed at the quality of each course, the beautiful presentation of food on the plate which had been prepared with care and finesse. I booked dinner for my son’s 10th birthday. I did specify that it was for an occasion, no one mentioned it or said happy birthday to him. I wasn’t really expecting it but why ask during the booking process if it’s not going to be mentioned We had a great table with a view which my son was happy about because he could watch everyone out surfing. Most of the staff were friendly and polite, especially the staff clearing tables. We had oysters which were amazing, my son had ribs which he enjoyed and I had the salt & pepper squid from the specials menu. It was in a tempura like batter, very oily and the squid was dry and rubbery.

Fantastic food. Exceptional service. Used the courtesy bus which made for a worry free birthday celebration.

We were so glad that we changed our booking from the upstairs Bistro at the Golf Club to Salt & Spencer for our final dinner in Mollymook with new friends. The menu catered for all and the added specials ensured that we had a great choice of dishes. The service was impeccable, especially Josi, who made sure everything was fine. What a delightful lady. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
