- AAmyChicago / Illinois •6 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 20, 2024Being from Chicago, I was a bit skeptical about a restaurant at Navy Pier. But we have enjoyed Blue Door Kitchen and Garden and decided to give Reunion a try before heading to the 'theatre.' What a wonderful surprise! It's a lovely unpretentious space. We thoroughly enjoyed the prixe fix theatre menu. We started with the Division Bell cocktail, which was great, of course, with mezcal and a cherry. We had the deviled eggs and crab cake, both delicious Southern classics. Then we had the caesar salad and brussels sprouts with kale, again both delicious. The brussels sprout and kale were blended with pecans, bacon and parmesan. What's not to love about that combination? Then we had the spring pasta and the salmon with brussels sprouts and sweet potato (roasted and delicious). The salmon was cooked to perfection. The pasta was fresh and full flavored with rich pesto. I'm not a big fan of desserts but thoroughly enjoyed the hummingbird cupcake. Husband loved the key lime--the aroma alone was amazing. Half-price bottle of wine (Wednesdays, it seems) added to the enjoyment. And finally, our server was wonderful, and the chef warmly visited each table. Chef is humble, kind, and clearly very talented. We live in Chicago and will gladly return to Reunion, especially before enjoying a play.More infoChef Art Smith's ReunionPrice: Moderate• American• Lakeshore East•4.2
