Combining amazing, wild, sustainable ingredients from land and sea into sumptuous creations that form really memorable eating experiences. We focus on British ingredients, as local to Chester. Our venison, always a hugely popular part of our menus, is harvested from herds on estates that focus on improving biodiversity and deer health – a process we call Farming the Wild.

    Probably about our sixth visit. The food, service and ambiance is what keeps us returning. Excellent food and service this visit. We had requested upstairs when booking but when they had a group booking that became unavailable so they rang and let us know and asked if that was still okay. It was and they ensured we had a booth.

    Absolutely amazing food, all homemade and authentic. Julius served us and he couldn’t have been more polite, helpful and accommodating. He even went out of his way to make us 2 smaller desserts so that we could try one of each and offered us an after dinner digestive drink of choice to finish our meal. 10/10 will be returning :)

    We ate here as a thank you to my parents for everything they have helped for our wedding tomorrow and I must say the whole night was amazing from the ambiance to the food and not forgetting the service a massive thank you to everyone involved and we will be certainly eating here again. Would obviously highly recommend.
