The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize. Previously operating as a speakeasy, the expansive wood panels were perfect for hiding a little booze and one can only imagine the shenanigans going on beyond the hidden staircase behind the coat check.     This was our first visit to Baldamar. We were celebrating my husband's birthday. I knew the menu looked good but we had no idea what to expect going in. It was one of the top experiences we have ever had at a restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy, sexy, and fun. We were greeted at our table with some confetti and a birthday card. Mason was our server and he made the experience so special. He took the time to walk us through the menu and the specials and offered us personal recommendations which we needed since everything looked wonderful! We had the holiday charcuterie board which we absolutely devoured. My husband ordered the prime ribeye and I had the miso sea bass- delicious! We will definitely be back and recommend Baldamar to any of our friends and family looking for a top-of-the-line chop house experience without the traditional pretentiousness.

    Had the pear sandwich for dinner, the queso for the chips was homeade and next level good. My date had the bison tacos, they were delicious. We had the lemon ricotta hot cakes and bison Benedict for breakfast the next morning. The service was excellent, I am going to recommend it to everyone going to Minneapolis and I will definitely go again.

    The employees were excited to serve. Welcome and warm atmosphere. My partner love's White Castle 🏰 The grey area was the claim stripes. For $12.99 They were not worthy. Most of it was like pieces that appeared like crumbs The Shrimp was great So was the sliders. Table and chairs not comfortable
