Using only freshly sourced Lancashire ingredients, including fresh seasonal vegetables, juicy steaks, fresh fish along with deliciously prepared vegetarian options, we have a menu to suit all tastes. Being right on the North Lancashire and South Cumbria border, the Longlands Inn is surrounded by farmers offering some great local specialties. Fell-bred and salt-marsh lamb, fabulous cheeses, freshly-caught fish, are then all expertly prepared and cooked by our brilliant resident chef Mark Swanton. The hotel has recently gone through a complete refurbishment of the downstairs areas and we have created cosy drinking areas, a mixtures of high and low seating and a private dining area. The open pass from the kitchen allows guests to see our kitchen in operation and all this leads to creating a lively buzz and great atmosphere.

Our menu changes often and is always being developed by our very talented Head Chef and his team. Along with a great food offering, we are challenging boundaries with our selection of 25 gins, 10 whiskeys and many more superior sprits, we always try to have an alternative rather than using main stream brands behind the bar, ensuring our guests receive the best possible value for money we can provide whilst experiencing a better than expected product. We opened our first restaurant in Castlefield, Manchester in 2004 with a clear aim: To deliver quality food to local customers at a reasonable price in a sharp, modern space with friendly, unpretentious service. We have pursued that goal ever since and it has earned us many loyal customers. Our menu is probably classed as British with some additional favourites from Italy and around the globe. Albert's Worsley provides a slick, modern space with dining for 180 guests inside and features a fabulous outside dining terrace for 60.The restaurant is open Tuesday - Sunday for lunch and dinner, Saturday and Sunday are also open for breakfast.

Came for lunch with mum, Grandparents and family dog. All greeted with a smile and friendly welcome and shown to our reserved table. We had the fish and chips which my gran said was delicious, the cheese pie (a family favourite) and the newly added all day brunch which didn’t disappoint. After dinner coffee finished off an all round wonderful dining experience. Thank you all at team Redwell, we will be back.

During a short break at the Black Bull we had two very good evening meals there. On our first night it was Curry Night - top notch food, fresh, tasty - my lamb rogan josh & my wife's Keralan fish curry both excellent (as was the onion bhaji, nothing like ones you get from a supermarket!). On our last night it was the a la carte menu, and that was a special meal - high quality, excellent presentation, really enjoyable. The starters & dessert were very good, my wife's monkfish and my venison both superb. The Black Bull definitely deserves its reputation for excellent food.
