From it’s humble beginnings as a pop-up restaurant, to a farmer"s market stand and now a successful brick-and-mortar eatery, The Pig and the Lady, led by twice-nominated James Beard semifinalist Chef Andrew Le (with help from his family including his mother, Mama Le), cook up what is essentially the family meal in the truest sense -- Exposing Honolulu diners a cross-section of cuisine that has Vietnamese origins, but is eclectic and daring.Chef Le and his team have developed a modern, fresh take on traditional Southeast Asian food, utilizing local products -- serving their famous banh mi and pho, along with new favorites. Le is the one of the few chefs cooking contemporary food built on Southeast Asian flavors that has garnered rave reviews -- a foundation built on delicious memories first introduced by his mother.     Our reservation was at 8:45 pm and it was not super busy. It was a fun, relaxed ambiance and we enjoyed the live music! The food was great for the most part. I enjoyed the macadamia crusted mahi mahi. The pizzas were good. Shrimp appetizer was only so-so (but our waiter did warn us it wasn’t the best thing on the menu - my daughter just really wanted shrimp). The service was great. I wish I remembered our waiter’s name because he was really friendly and engaging and deserves a shout out. I would definitely recommend.

    A friend took me there earlier tonight for my birthday. We got there during happy hour and were pleasantly surprised by the prices and number of items on the happy hour menu. It ends at 5:30 and lots of places end it at 5 so we started out with a good impression. She got the Kailua pig quesadillas and I got fish and chips. She ordered the green beans as well. Everything was delicious! Our waiter was friendly and was very familiar with the food and drinks on the menu. My cocktail was called something crush. Yummy! Overall a really great experience.

    What could be better than a view of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach while you eat? The food! Our dinners were outstanding. My wife said it was the best steak she’d ever had, and my daughter said the same about here pasta. All four of our meals were excellent, no one was disappointed. My only complaint is that we were all too full to even share a piece of Hula pie!

    We had one of the best experiences ever at Ruths Chris. We have been to numerous Ruths Chris around the world. Our server Asia was fantastic and we were greeted by an amazing manager by the name of Matt. They made my birthday very special by bringing me a birthday dessert And accommodated us for a reservation for Christmas Day.
