Jordan Pond House, a restaurant and shop with a long tradition within Acadia National Park, sits on a hill overlooking a beautiful lawn along the Jordan Pond. Guests have been enjoying these amazing views and dining at this site since 1893 when Nellie McIntire, the first proprietor, started baking and serving her famous popovers out of the restaurant. Very good discovery in Bangor. We order Pizzas, Chicago style was amazing, and Fish and chips that my eldest son loved it. The service was great. Very good value for money in a very informal fancy American style place. Will come back.

It took a month to get in and it was worth it. I had frequented the pond house when I was young (35 yrs ago) and I had been wanting to get back. It was as good as I remember. Staff got us in earlier than our reservation time, waitstaff were friendly and welcoming and the popovers and jam are the best I’ve had! Definitely worth the visit/experience.
