Vallozzi's started over 50 years ago when Helen Vallozzi was selling homemade pastas out of her home. Helen opened a take out restaurant in Latrobe, PA a few years later where her popularity exploded. In 1977, Ernie Vallozzi moved his mothers location to Greensburg where it is still open and operating today. In 2012 Ernie's son Julian expanded the tradition in to downtown Pittsburgh.     The service! Literally everything from the moment we stepped out of our car with valet to when we left and said goodbye to the host was phenomenal. Truly such a lovely group of people working here. There aren’t a ton of restaurants in Pittsburgh that do fine dining quite like this so my husband and I were very impressed.

    I took my girlfriend to brunch at Ritual House on our engagement weekend in the city and it was absolutely wonderful. The decorations they had for the holidays were stunning and magical and the overall design of the place, including menus and table settings, was so charming. We were waited on by Bryce (can’t remember if that’s the correct spelling of his name!) and he was energetic, funny, helpful, and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. She got the chicken and waffles with a side of breakfast potatoes and I got the monte cristo sandwich. All of the food was flavorful, fresh, and portions were very generous. We definitely want to go back! Out of three restaurants we dined at over the weekend, this place was our favorite.
