In business for more than 30 years, Roy is a bistro-style, Americana restaurant with a frequently changing, handwritten menu. We strive to serve unpretentious cuisine of the highest quality. We use mostly certified organic produce from the local Santa Barbara Farmers Market, free range chicken and Harris Ranch hormone free beef. We bake our own bread, hand roll our pastas and make all of our desserts in house.     The Tri-tip platter was the perfect size for two people and the meat was incredibly tender and so tasty we couldn’t believe it. Would highly recommend. The S’mores dessert had very different flavors than you would expect but was delicious.

    Sat at the bar early Tuesday. Kevin was really good, we were well taken care of. I had the Pesto Bucatini with shrimp and my wife had the Pasta Di Mare. Both were excellent, prepared the truly Italian way without unnecessary spices or flavor distracting toppings. If you have spent time food-touring Italy, this restaurant is about as authentic as you can find anywhere.

    The food is good again, but the prices have become exorbitant. $40plus dollars for a Petrale sole! The Gavi di Gavi was also better. the place is crazy noisy.can't hear yourself much less your partner
