Restaurants near Orwell State Wildlife Area

Naturally, the view of the falls is the main attraction, but the food and cocktails were also impressive. The cast iron biscuits were flavorful; our salads, Caesar and Heart of Palm, were large and delicious, followed by very tender Short Ribs and flaky Rainbow Trout. Would love to return for the Beef Bourgignon before the winter menu expires. The manager stopped by twice to confirm our satisfaction. A lovely dinner.

Cooper's Hawk was just plain delightful today for lunch with longtime friends. The sommelier, Lorrie, was excellent and knew her information. We loved it when she challenged my husband to describe the taste of an orange without using the word citrus. Our server, I cannot remember her name, was excellent as well. She was attentive and cleaned dishes off as they were done. without interrupting us. It made the table easier to be seated without the clutter of used dishes. It was just a marvelous time for lunch.

The food, service and ambiance are wonderful. JoJo’s will continue to be a frequent dining experience for us.

Salads and Pizza is very good here. Atmosphere could be better. Just seems small and crowded. Front porch, even though it’s enclosed, just looks cold in February. Sat outside once and table and chairs were very flimsy. Rocking back and forth with the table so small that they couldn’t even fit the food on it without using the table across from us. This was the table for two. Never again for the outside spots.
